Thousands of Years Star Power • Night of the Rise of Male and Female Icons

(May 15, 2025)

The “Thousands of Years Star Power • Night of the Rise of Male and Female Icons”, organised by Thousands of Years Media (ToYm), concluded successfully on the 10th.

17-year-old Huang Tian Jia from Penang delivered an outstanding performance, defeating 11 strong competitors to claim the Male Champion title. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Huang Xin Yi was crowned Female Champion and also won the Most Popular Award, becoming a double champion.

The event was held at the five-star Andaman Grand Ballroom in Kuala Lumpur. A total of 24 rising stars competed over five hours across three major segments: talent performance, acting challenges, and on-the-spot response.

The contestants were divided into four groups of six. Each contestant was introduced through a 15-second self-introduction video before performing a talent showcase of no more than two minutes. This was followed by the “Golden 10 Seconds” voting segment to gain audience support.

Each group also participated in a 10-minute group drama performance before being randomly challenged live by hosts Yap Jian Feng and Huang Wei Xuan, testing their improvisation and adaptability.

Male Champion Huang Tian Jia, who excels in singing and guitar performance, first performed a heartfelt acoustic song before switching into an energetic Michael Jackson-inspired dance performance. His impressive stage charisma earned the judges’ admiration, winning him the championship title, RM30,000 cash prize, a Thousands of Years Media film and television contract, and a limited-edition trophy.

Female Champion Huang Xin Yi, admired for her charming appearance and sweet smile, impressed the audience with a stunning modern dance performance. She not only claimed the championship title but also won the Most Popular Award with the highest number of votes. She received a total of RM40,000, a Thousands of Years Media film and television contract, and a limited-edition trophy.

The First Runner-up titles for the Male and Female categories went to Aeron Jeszel Iskandar and Fu Xueling respectively. Both received RM20,000, a Thousands of Years Media film and television contract, and a limited-edition trophy.

The Second Runner-up positions were awarded to Chi Ning Ping and Bell (Nabila Balqis), who each received RM15,000, a Thousands of Years Media film and television contract, and a limited-edition trophy.

The organisers also introduced three Excellence Awards for each category, with each recipient receiving RM5,000, a film and television contract with Thousands of Years Media, and a limited-edition trophy.

For the Male category, the Excellence Award winners were Iyad Sanim, Li Yu Jie — who also won the Best Talent Award (RM10,000) — and Luo Shen Kai, who additionally received the Social Media Short Video Popularity Award (RM10,000).

For the Female category, the Excellence Award recipients were Wang Wei Ying, Li Jia, and Chen Yun Xuan.

The judging panel consisted of seven distinguished professionals, including Datuk Wira Jment Lim, Founder and Executive Director of Thousands of Years Media and Sheng Chuang Entertainment; film director Chen Wei Chang; ToYm Wardrobe Fashion Director Nini Wong; former national radio DJ and lecturer Liang Jin Cai; production head Wu Zhen Xing; renowned 988 DJ Jeff Chen Hao Ran; and famous 8TV host Xiao Yu.
